6 Row Barley that is easy to thresh and grows to about 3' high.   Matures fairly early and produces well.

 Very productive rye from Siberia that Sepp Holzer utilizes in his  permaculture system.  When Spring planted, it grows into a clump that  can be used for light grazing or even cut and used as hay. Also makes a  good weed suppressing cover crop.  The next year it will produce a good  crop of grain on stems about 6' high. Can also be planted in the early  fall like winter wheat and harvested the next year.
