A beautiful and rare heirloom from. France, preserved by the Carmelite monks.  Nearly black in color, the fruit turns orange as it ripens. They are deeply ribbed and have smooth skin. The flesh is fragrant, orange in color, thick and flavorful.   The fruit weigh about 3-6 lbs. each.

French Heirloom melon, small round 2-3 lbs with sweet orange flesh and  very fragrant aroma.  You can definitely smell these melons when they  are ripe. 

Very early small melon.  Produces 4-6" melons on 3' vines.
