(Bush) Mid season green shelling pea. Plants will reach about 18" high. Good flavour and yield. Pods are about 4" in length with approx. 6-8 peas.

Heirloom, Late season, heavy producing green shelling pea that can have vines that grow to 8' long that need sturdy support. Ken Allen of Kingston, spent many years selecting to increase the number of peas per pod. This is noted to be an old variety.
Heirloom pea, also known as Alderman, was introduced in 1891. Can have 6-8' vines and produce a generous crop for fresh eating and for freezing or canning.
